In its effort to promote the connection between diversity and flexibility and high performance workplaces, the Alliance recognizes outstanding initiatives and individuals leading their industries in these areas. In 2019 we launched our Luminary Award which recognizes an exceptional global leader for his or her extraordinary commitment to diversity. Our Flex Impact Award honors initiatives poised to have an impact on an organization’s culture and our Flex Leader and Flex Success® Awards recognize leaders who champion these issues. All of our awards are presented each fall during the Alliance’s Annual Conference. The 2021 award honorees will be announced in summer 2021 and the awards will be presented during the virtual annual conference on November 3, 2021.
The Diversity & Flexibility Alliance’s Luminary Award honors a global thought leader who is consistently and uniquely devoted to the advancement of diversity and whose vision is leaving a lasting legacy of inclusivity for future leaders.
The Flex Impact Awardrecognizes policies or initiatives that are poised to have a significant impact on the culture of flexibility in an organization or industry.
The 2020 Flex Impact Award Honorees were: Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP who was honored for its comprehensive flexible working initiative that is supported by an exceptionally strong and effective infrastructure. Katten, Muchin Rosenman LLP was honored for its four-week, paid sabbatical initiative that is offered to all Associates once they have completed their fifth year.
Flex Leader Award
The Flex Leader Award is presented to an executive who promotes a more diverse and inclusive workplace through holistic flexibility.
The 2020 Flex Leader Award was presented to Barri Rafferty, EVP and Head of Communications for Wells Fargo for her extraordinary commitment to flexibility and her personal philosophy that allowing all employees to work on their own flexible schedule creates increased employee empowerment and engagement.
Flex Success® Award
The Flex Success® Award recognizes Partners or Shareholders at Alliance member organizations who are working a reduced hours schedule and a client, chosen by the honoree, that has been integral to making workplace flexibility a reality and a success.
